Screenweaver is back- and open source

this came through osflash-mailinglist yesterday:
Is this discussion dead?

Not at all! After I had a little chat with Darron a few days back, I’ve
been working on bringing the Screenweaver 3 code base up to date: I’ve
decided to release it open source.

Under the same licence (GNU GPL) I will also release a new development
effort called Screenweaver Core. This might be of specific interest to
this list due to the open architecture. Read more about it here:

http://www.vanrijkom.org/swcoreos/frames.html?frmname=topic&frmfile=Overview.html

I’ll need about one or two weeks to get everything organized properly,
after which both projects will be available through OSFlash.

Cheers,

Flash 8 around the corner ? [update]

[update]
André Michelle just posted some indepth thoughts on the upcoming Flash 8.

Flash 8 File-Upload (RC-1)

With the help of Glen Blanchard, i’ve managed to package a RC1 for the new File Upload Feature of Maelstrom (aka Flash Player 8) .

It now features all callbacks needed for status and error handling.

Grab the Files and start playing, but be careful:
before uploading this one to your server, you should check all possibilities of misuse like you normally would do with html.

If you want a quicklook, here’s what i hacked together:

A Preview of Gnome 2.12

As Gnome shall be released in about a month (precisely on eptember 7th, 2005), you should watch some screenshots of it here.

All in all i’m not that very excited about the look, cause i already use that (playing with Ubuntu :-) ), but the new features make Linux much more usable as a desktop OS, if you ask me.
Of course there’s a lot more that can and definately shall be done.

Wait a minute: if you read the above link on Mathew Thomas blog, you should definately read this one too, right after :-)

ChenPress - WYSIWYG for Wordpress

Some of you lazy WordPress users may have always wished a WYSIWYG-Editor for your WP-Installation. Although there are some alternatives, i’ve decided to give ChenPress (mainly a plugin-wrapper for FCKeditor) a go.
I’ve taken the File from http://groups-beta.google.com/group/ChenPress but since Chen’s server is little bit too slow, i decided to spend some alternate place here. Chen was ok with that.

So go download ChenPress 3 [UPDATE: new version:Chenpress 3.1.1 based on FCKEditor 2.1.1], upzip it to your WP-Installation, edit the cfg’s to your need, and be happy :-)

be sure to ask questions on http://groups-beta.google.com/group/ChenPress, cause i’m not giving any support here, only little webspace.
